Oracle Corp. and Microsoft Corp. have partnered to offer the Oracle Autonomous Database on the Azure cloud service. This fully automated and managed database-as-a-service allows for secure data exchange between the two cloud services and offers unified database capabilities for organizations. The offering fills a gap in Microsoft’s managed database portfolio and is suitable for customers who do not have a lot of IT administrators. The partnership between Oracle and Microsoft aims to improve interoperability between their cloud offerings.
