The B.C. On-Farm Technology Adoption Program is helping farmers in British Columbia adopt new technology such as automation, robotics, and innovative growing, packing, and storage solutions to increase food production and combat labour challenges. This program is funded by the federal and provincial government and is delivered by Innovate BC. Examples of successful technology adoption include a robotic weeder for field vegetables, a fruit-picking platform for orchards, and upgraded potato storage with computer panels and digital sensors.
