A new program using artificial intelligence and machine learning aims to provide tailored local weather forecasts for growers, improving the accuracy and usability of weather-related information. The $1.3M initiative, led by Jane’s Weather and delivered through Hort Innovation, will consider individual growers’ farming blocks, terrain, and operational needs. Machine learning and AI will be used to enhance traditional weather forecasting techniques and provide more accurate and frequent predictions.
