Wayve is a UK-based autonomous vehicle startup that has raised over $200 million from investors such as Microsoft, Virgin, Balderton and Baillie Gifford. The company has developed an “AV2.0 approach” to self-driving technology, which allows vehicles to ‘learn’ while on the job, just like a human would. Wayve recently released its AI model Lingo-1, which allows passengers to question their vehicle about the decisions it makes on the road. In this podcast, Wayve’s cofounder and CEO Alex Kendall talks about the competition, regulation, working with Microsoft and how to “level up” as an academic founder.
