Google’s Open Source Programs Office (OSPO) continues to invest in the sustainability of open source communities and expand access to opportunities for contributors. In the last five years, Google has released over 7,000 open source elements and employees have interacted with over 70,000 public repositories on GitHub. Most of the open source projects Google contributes to are outside of Alphabet.
