A study by media analyst house NewsGuard found that top AI chatbots are willing to emit Russian disinformation to varying degrees. The bots were given prompts to complete and were found to respond with false claims 31.75% of the time. The study suggests that AI companies should use tools to weigh the reliability of news websites to prevent the spread of misinformation.
