Slack has updated its AI principles after a controversy emerged over how its customer data was being used to train its machine learning models. The company clarified that it does not build or train models in a way that could learn or reproduce customer data, and users can opt-out of the process. However, the use of de-identified, aggregate data is still used to enhance in-app features.
