The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has released draft roadmaps for five sectors – mobile security, internet of things (IoT) security, cyber forensics, quantum technologies, and cryptography. These roadmaps outline the government’s targets for achieving indigenisation and developing standards for quantum computing devices. The government is also focusing on developing tools for social media, dark web, pornography, deep fakes, and other areas under cyber forensics. A public consultation has been initiated for these drafts, with comments being accepted until February 15.
