Quantum Computing (QC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are two of the most transformative technologies of our era, pushing the boundaries of computation and cognition. QC leverages the principles of quantum mechanics and sub-atomic properties, employing quantum bits (qubits) instead of classical bits. In 2019, Google’s Sycamore quantum processor achieved ‘quantum supremacy’, solving complex problems in about 200 seconds that would take classical supercomputers millennia. AI heavily relies on data, however, processing massive datasets, particularly in real-time, strains even the most powerful classical computers. QC and AI intersecting has the potential to create extraordinary and formidable outcomes.
