Michio Kaku, a physicist and professor of theoretical physics, believes that we are about to enter a quantum era that will bring unimaginable scientific and societal change. Computers will no longer use transistors, but subatomic particles, to make calculations, unleashing incredible processing power. Kaku is optimistic about the future, and is currently teaching a course on the physics of science fiction. His new book, Quantum Supremacy, explores the implications of this new era.
