IBM and Moderna have announced a partnership to explore the potential of generative AI and quantum computing to accelerate the development of mRNA vaccines. IBM’s generative AI foundation model could help Moderna create a new class of mRNA vaccine with fewer limitations than current vaccines. Additionally, Moderna is looking at how quantum computing can be used to solve problems that existing classical computers cannot. Top executives will be gathering in San Francisco on July 11-12 to discuss how AI investments can be integrated and optimized for success.
