Raspberry Pi has released their AI Kit, a PCIe M.2 HAT with a Hailo-8L AI accelerator, allowing for easy development and deployment of machine learning models on the edge. This blog post discusses the process of getting the Hailo-8L accelerator and its software running on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. The software stack consists of four parts and can be obtained from Raspberry Pi’s Debian repository or compiled from source.
