Canonical has released Ubuntu Core 24, an “immutable” version of Ubuntu designed for intelligent edge and IoT applications. This version offers enhanced security, support for various architectures, and optimized installation and application management processes. It also includes features for enterprises in regulated industries, such as network disablement and offline system upgrades. Additionally, GPU support has been improved for AIoT and graphics-intensive applications.
