Konstantinos Mamouras, an assistant professor of computer science at Rice University, has received a National Science Foundation CAREER Award to decentralize the Internet of Things (IoT) and improve overall efficiency. His proposal, titled “Programming Abstractions and Formal Reasoning for IoT Application Development,” aims to relieve network congestion and utilize the small IoT devices at the edge of the network.
