This article discusses the use of modern computing technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing, in the development of smart transport systems, such as intelligent transport systems (ITS) and connected autonomous vehicles (CAV). It also examines the potential security risks associated with these technologies, such as distributed denial of service (DDoS) and ransomware attacks, and the need for countermeasures to protect against such attacks. Finally, the article outlines the submission process for manuscripts exploring the countermeasures against cybersecurity and data privacy attacks in ITS.
