Professional beggar gangs originating from Pakistan have become a crisis that demands immediate government action. 90% of professional beggars arrested in the Middle East are of Pakistani origin, leading to a surge in deportations and tarnishing the nation’s global image. Additionally, Pakistan has a large pool of skilled labour, yet has only dispatched a meagre 200 individuals to countries like Japan, showcasing a significant missed opportunity. The government must take immediate action to address this issue comprehensively and restore the trust and credibility of Pakistanis overseas.
