At the annual ETSI Security Conference, cybersecurity experts from around the world discussed the emergence of a vast ecosystem of IoT seal initiatives. These initiatives are motivated by political quests, best practices, and revenue generation. They all have the same attributes: technical and process requirements, certification of compliance, implementation and enforcement, and a seal, label, logo, or mark. Some are mandated by government authorities, while others are voluntary.
