The KPMG Global Tech Report 2023 surveyed 2,100 business leaders in 21 countries and revealed that Canadian organizations have not yet caught up with the rest of the world in terms of implementing advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, cloud, 5G, augmented reality, virtual reality, edge computing, cybersecurity and web3 technologies. However, most have plans to adopt these solutions by 2026. The biggest obstacle facing business leaders when it comes to tech is getting governance buy-in. The survey found that the main reason Canadian organizations are prioritizing certain technologies is to keep pace with market leaders that have already adopted them.
