Generative AI has become increasingly popular with applications like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Bard, DALL-E, Midjourney, and DeepMind being used for content creation, ideation, and problem solving. However, data privacy concerns are real as AI interactions can inadvertently collect personal data. Google’s Bard has been facing flak for the possibility that it is trained on Gmail data of users. OpenAI’s ChatGPT has not been able to get too far in the European Union due to its strict data rules. AI/ML developers have noted that lack of data is the prime reason preventing the development of further AI models. In the end, AI is a technology and can be leveraged while keeping its disadvantages at bay with common sense.
