The Women in Science at Informatics group held their annual King’s Women in Informatics Conference last month, providing a forum for researchers to discuss their work and careers in academia. Presentations included Yulan He’s Machine Reasoning for Natural Language Understanding and Ruba Abu-Salma’s work on the digital security needs of migrant domestic workers in the UK. The conference was part of the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences’ Women in Science initiative, which works to challenge the inequities faced by women in the field.
