Edge computing has made it easier for hackers to break into networks, making it harder for CISOs and IT security professionals to protect their edge and IoT infrastructures. Edge security is necessary to protect users and apps at the edge layer of a company’s network, where sensitive data is very vulnerable. To ensure edge environments are safe, data must be encrypted while at rest and in transit, and authentication and authorization must be implemented. Additionally, security policies should be regularly updated and monitored, and security teams should be trained on the latest threats and best practices.
