DZS, a Plano-based developer of network edge and cloud software solutions, has acquired NetComm Wireless Pty Ltd. This acquisition expands DZS’s portfolio to include distribution point units, WiFi, Fixed Wireless Access, and industrial Internet of Things products. The acquisition was supported by global investment firm EdgeCo LLC, which has been following the evolution of DSL to PON for over 20 years. DZS is well-positioned for the upcoming government broadband stimulus programs and has recently relocated its headquarters to Plano.
