Microsoft is cutting hundreds of jobs at its Azure cloud unit, including teams such as Azure for Operators and Mission Engineering. The layoffs come after the company’s heavy investment in AI and access to technologies through their partnership with ChatGPT maker OpenAI. Additionally, Microsoft has started restructuring its mixed reality organization and scrapped plans for HoloLens 3.
