GitHub has introduced new Arm-based Linux and Windows runners for its Actions service, offering cost savings and sustainability benefits. These runners are currently only available for paid accounts and will be expanded to open source projects by the end of 2024. The addition of arm64 runners is a sign of the growing popularity of Arm in the mainstream server market.
