Fortinet has announced its plans to acquire cloud security firm Lacework, which will enhance its secure access service edge offerings with cloud-native security services. Lacework’s platform uses AI and machine-learning technology to collect and analyze data from cloud environments, identifying and sharing details about abnormal activities. Fortinet plans to integrate Lacework’s capabilities into its security access service edge portfolio, providing customers with protection for both internal and external cloud application activity.
