Amazon announces plans to invest an additional €10 billion into its cloud infrastructure and logistics network in Germany, as part of its global expansion efforts. This includes €8.8 billion for its AWS cloud computing business in the Frankfurt region and €7.8 billion for a sovereign cloud business in the country. The company has also made similar investments in other countries, such as Spain and France, to meet the growing demand for data processing and storage. This move comes as European regulators push for data to be stored within the bloc for privacy and security reasons.
