Microsoft plans to offer its cloud computing customers a platform of AMD’s AI chips, providing an alternative to Nvidia’s dominant GPUs. The company will also unveil a preview of its new Cobalt 100 custom processors, which offer 40% better performance compared to other Arm-based processors. These chips will compete with Amazon’s Graviton CPUs and are being evaluated for use in Microsoft’s messaging service Teams.
