AWS plans to invest in a “sovereign cloud” center in Germany to meet EU’s data protection regulations. The center will provide a familiar architecture and a comprehensive suite of services for public sector organizations and customers in regulated industries. The first AWS Region in Brandenburg is expected to launch by the end of 2025, with seamless application transition and deployment for AWS partners. The AWS Nitro System will ensure security and performance for the sovereign cloud.
