Adam Selipsky, the CEO of AWS, has announced his resignation to focus on family. Matt Garman, the current SVP of sales and marketing, will take over as CEO. Despite declining revenues, AWS remains a leader in the cloud services industry and generated $9.42 billion in operating income in its most recent quarter. Selipsky’s 2022 compensation was over $41 million. Garman thanked Selipsky for his leadership and hinted at further changes to the organization.
