Microsoft’s Azure Incubations team has launched a new application platform called Radius, which is an open source project that initially supports Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS runtimes. Radius is designed to be highly extensible and scalable, and is built to run as a set of containers or processes, optionally deployed in Kubernetes. It comes with a set of resource providers to manage applications packaged as containers. Mark Russinovich, CTO of Azure, is the architect of Radius.
