AMD has released a new server processor, the AMD EPYC 8004 series processor, code-named “Siena”, designed for edge computing needs. It is an energy-efficient x86 chip built for edge server deployments in smaller and power-constrained spaces. It completes AMD’s family of four fourth-generation EPYC processors and is available one day before Intel holds its Intel Innovation 2023 conference.
