The 20th Workshop on High-Performance Computing in Meteorology will be held in Bologna, Italy from October 9-13, 2023. The theme of the event is ‘Diversifying HPC’, and it will bring together experts from various fields to discuss the current trends in HPC, such as the move away from large, monolithic computing systems and the increasing use of graphics processing units (GPUs) and cloud computing. The workshop will explore both hardware and software changes that will need to be made in order to keep up with these trends.
