IBM is leveraging its AI expertise to help enterprises better understand and track greenhouse gas emissions from cloud computing with the launch of its new Cloud Carbon Calculator. The calculator tracks emissions across various workloads down to the cloud service level for enterprise accounts, identifies GHG emissions hot spots and opportunities for improvement, and leverages data for GHG emission reports. AI-based algorithms are used to help organizations identify emissions hot spots and opportunities for improvement.
