The ‘Future of Cloud Security in the Middle East’ report surveyed 584 cloud security professionals across the region and found that 56% of them would prioritize zero trust strategies as their number one cloud security priority for the next year. Data and privacy best practices and regulatory compliance were the second and third priorities respectively. The report also highlighted the Middle East’s adoption of a cloud-first strategy, the flexibility of cloud solutions, and the importance of security and privacy protection technical controls. Multi-factor authentication, encryption, and staff training were identified as key objectives for protecting data on the cloud, while passwords were found to be declining in relevance.
