Monster API, a Palo Alto-based startup, has launched a platform that claims to be the “Airbnb of GPUs” and has secured $1.1 million in pre-seed funding. The platform seeks to harness the computing power of consumer devices like PlayStation, gaming PCs, and crypto mining rigs for training ML models, with the goal of reducing the cost and complexity of developing AI applications. Monster API provides access to the latest AI models with highly available REST APIs through a one-line command interface, with no complex setup involved. It also has a no-code fine-tuning solution that specifies hyperparameters and datasets.
