Google has recently made a number of announcements and unveilings surrounding its generative AI portfolio. Google is the only company on the planet that has commercial offerings that cover the entire AI stack, including AI chips/compute, AI development tools/platforms and AI applications. Google’s Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) chips are specifically designed for machine learning tasks and to be used with Google TensorFlow. Google’s Generative AI stack is based on four foundational models, including PaLM 2, which is a large language model that’s been trained on more than 100 languages to complete tasks like text processing, classification, sentiment analysis, etc.
