Industry 4.0 is a potential disruptor that has been discussed for eight years, but has yet to deliver on its promise. It is meant to be the melding of the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing, dramatically improving business efficiency, flexibility and productivity.
