Amazon has recently launched Bedrock, a cloud-based platform that helps customers build generative AI applications such as chatbots, image and text generators, and customized search engines. Bedrock will offer AI models from third parties as well as Amazon’s own in-house AI platform, Titan. This approach is different from what other tech giants such as Microsoft and Alphabet have been following, and it could pay off big time for Amazon. Microsoft and OpenAI are now pushing the envelope in generative AI by deploying the technology into more applications, while Alphabet is working on improving its chatbot, Bard.
