Web 4.0 is the fourth generation of the internet, which is still quite theoretical. Web 1.0 was the first version of the internet, which was mostly composed of web pages connected by hyperlinks and lacked visuals, controls, and interactions. Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 have since been developed, with Web 3.0 having workable networks and utility. Web 4.0 theorists argue that the fourth generation of the internet may change not just the internet but the world.
