A legal dispute between Terraform, a cloud computing company, and Genesis, a blockchain platform, has reached a new stage. A judge has ordered Genesis to respond to a subpoena issued by Terraform, which seeks evidence of Genesis’s alleged infringement of Terraform’s patents. Terraform has accused Genesis of copying its proprietary technology for creating and managing virtual machines on the cloud. Terraform Labs, the startup behind the Terra blockchain and payment platform, has raised over $200 million from investors. Genesis has denied the allegations and argued that Terraform’s patents are invalid and unenforceable.
