Apt Jumps 17% After Aptos Labs Announces Partnership With Microsoft

Aptos Labs, a layer 1 blockchain, has announced a partnership with tech giant Microsoft to explore blockchain-based use cases such as asset tokenization, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), and digital payment. As part of the partnership, Aptos will develop an AI-powered chatbot, Aptos Assistant, and integrate its programming language, Move, with Microsoft’s coding platform GitHub. Additionally, Microsoft will open the door for large financial institutions to explore blockchain solutions with Aptos. Following the announcement, the native token of the Aptos blockchain, APT, surged more than 17%.
