The State Department’s Innovation Roundtable series brings together U.S. private sector and government leaders to identify and promote market opportunities abroad for emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT), and cloud computing. Participants discussed the potential to implement blockchain and DLT in different systems, the opportunities being pursued and challenges faced by U.S. companies leading the global transition to the cloud, and the need for companies and governments to work together to help ensure the free flow of data across borders.
