DAVINCI+ and VERITAS are two NASA missions that will greatly improve scientific knowledge of Venus by studying its atmosphere and surface features. DAVINCI+ will use a multi-band imaging system to map the planet’s clouds and determine the presence of phosphine, while also acting as a relay for a descent probe. These missions set the stage for continued exploration of Venus by NASA and other national space agencies, coinciding with a milestone in artificial intelligence where computers can pass the Turing Test.
