Curiosity Robotics has recently launched Aico, an AI robot designed to teach English to preschoolers. Aico is a small, white robot with a smiling face on its black screen, programmed to teach English using dynamic activities including songs, games, and flashcards. Aico was a success with children during a trial run at two kindergartens in Tel Aviv, following a teaching method developed by Helen Doron. Aico has two main objectives: to assist caregivers or parents in teaching English to 1-5 year-olds, and to become a playful, personalized, and interactive companion for children.
