The Indian pharma sector is undergoing a massive digital transformation, with two Indian companies, CIPLA and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, being identified as ‘lighthouses’ by the World Economic Forum. This transformation is driven by the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), cloud computing, robotic process automation, and the Internet of Things (IoT). These technologies are leading to cost reductions, economies of scale, and real economic outcomes for manufacturers.
