IITs across India have seen a surge in job offers from top companies for computer science and AI graduates. In response, IITs are revising their undergraduate curriculum to launch full-time degree courses in AI, data science, and other emerging technologies. IIT-Gandhinagar is the latest to launch a BTech in AI from the new academic session 2023-24. IIT-Hyderabad was the first tech institute to launch a BTech in AI in 2019. The revised curriculum will enable students to build systems that harness data collection and computation to solve important global challenges.
