Large Language Models (LLMs), a subset of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), are gaining attention as a technology that could potentially revolutionize the workplace and increase productivity. Autonomy predicts that within 10 years, 71% of US workers could have their working hours reduced by at least 10% with the introduction of LLMs. The global natural language processing market is expected to grow from $18.9 billion in 2023 to $68.1 billion by 2028, driven in part by the increasing use of LLMs. Companies like OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Tesla are all developing LLM offerings, but Henri Fourie of Mint Group cautions that adoption and implementation of the technology must be done carefully.
