Voice User Interfaces (VUIs) are a relatively new user-interface (UI) design that incorporate many recent technological advancements, including artificial-intelligence (AI) technologies such as speech synthesis and automatic speech recognition. VUIs provide many benefits such as saving time, providing similar results for multiple synonyms, promoting multitasking, being accessible to people with physical impairments, and helping people perform operational tasks. However, VUIs are not the safest or most secure technologies, and developers are still trying to improve their security. Comparatively, VUIs are useful for tasks that require more natural interaction, while other user interfaces are better suited for tasks that require more precision.
