Apple has announced its new machine learning system, “Apple Intelligence,” which will debut in upcoming releases of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. The system is composed of three layers, including an on-device mode, a private cloud compute service, and integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The system aims to maintain a high level of privacy by splitting queries across these three tiers.
