A recent study published in Nature Communications has found that a blood test combined with artificial intelligence can accurately predict the onset of Parkinson’s disease up to seven years before symptoms appear. By analyzing eight blood biomarkers, the AI system was able to diagnose Parkinson’s with 100% accuracy and also predict the probability of a person developing the disease. This could lead to earlier treatment and management of the disease.
